About this lesson
All the attention goes to the aces and kings, and meanwhile the fours and fives quietly win tricks at the end of a hand. Lorna counts the suits out with you, so you know which of your small cards can grow into a winner before you play one.
What you'll pick up
- Counting a suit from both hands, and knowing how many cards the opponents still hold
- The happy 3-3 break that turns your last small card into a trick
- The holding where the small card can never grow, however the suit breaks
- Giving up one trick early to gain two, and keeping control of the suit while you do it
- Eight cards, take the finesse. Nine headed by the ace-king, play for the drop
